We are getting married at the grand in july, we've been to the iberostar. How do they compare? Also, any information on activities, tips or inside information on the hotel would be great.

We stayed here in Dec, 2002. This is a new, beautiful, quiet resort. Food was good. Beach is small as most of it was damaged by the last hurricane. Pools are really nice. The drinks are excellent. This resort was so new, that it had no entertainment in the evening, so if you are looking to party this is not the place. Going to the bar in the evening is the only thing to do, or watch TV in your room. Cab will cost a lot if you want to go into the town of Cozumel. Find another couple to split the cost, as it is cheaper for 4. The rooms are very large and beautiful, has a bathtub and a separate glass surrounded shower. Great room. No ocean views here. The walk to the beach is a 10 minute walk from your villa to the beach.
