Need ideas on where to go and where to stay

Postby janet0422 on Sun Nov 04, 2007 5:34 pm

We're planning a trip to the Carribean/Mexico in April. We have a 9 year old. Was thinking of an all inclusive, but we are not big drinkers and don't want the spring breakers? And we don't play golf. Any recommendations for maybe meals included or kids stay free?

Check out Tranquility Vacation Property Rentals. Its really like being in your own little tropical paradise. They have full guest concierge services, like $300-$400 a night.

Vacation idea for Janet 0422

We just returned from our 4th visit to a really wonderful condo in St Croix that may provide what you need. Its name is Gentle Winds and it is on the north shore of St Croix, about 5 miles outside of Christiansted. It is a 66 unit low rise condo, very secluded, safe, well manicured and absolutely beautiful. While on our last trip, there was a large groupf of children in the 9 yr old bracket and they were having a blast. Gentle Winds has a white sandy beach, about 20 yds deep and 250 yds long. About 20 yds for shore, there is a small reef whichsupplies fantastic snorkeling and is a good place to learn if your child has not gone before. The water is only chest deep (on an adult). They supply ample quantities of chaise lounges and beach chairs. Shade is supplied by palm trees and palm frond hatched huts (palapas). There is a nice pool (15yds x 40 yds) with depthf rom 2 ft to 10 ft surrounded by a deck complete with tables, chairs and umbrellas. Completing this scene is a beach shack that serves the best hamburgers and salads on the island (at good rates), plus bar service for the adults.
Feel free to contact me for furthur info, photos, condo #'s,a nd general island info. I would be more than happy to help you. toc919@aol.com
