Re: free 2 night hotel package

Postby Osborne on Mon May 09, 2005 11:57 am

I was misled to believe I won a free 2 night hotel stay plus resort vacation choice.I was sent to www.beginmyvacation.com and got routed here. I called the #18002665137 and also was given a direct#18004719203.I was told that I kept typing in the wrong address & spelling. The telephone personnel were so friendly at first until they knew I caught their game.I went through talking to Jay, Nikki, and lastly & very distasteful Gerry. So please do not fall for these scams saying you won something after completing a survey. These false advertisers make things harder for the honest companies out there.

My older aunt was recieverd a telephone call, telling her she won a holiday for 4 to orlando. She just had to pay £300, which she did with her credit card. She is a pensioner and has been tricked by this scam. It shouldn't be allowd to happen.

I also answer this to a free 2 nights hotel stay. When I call the lady start telling me that I had also won a trip to Orlanda for 4 and all I had to do is pay $189 today which is the purchase for 4 theme park tickets. And we would be able to attend all 4 parks. When I told her I didn't want the trip I only only want my 2 nights. She quickly said go to beginmyvacation.com

Cancelling?

Postby Guest on Mon Nov 21, 2005 10:07 pm

Does anyone know how we're "supposed to" cancel these vacation packages during our "free trial" period? Or, do they make it literally impossible to do so? (If so, they're legally committing fraud right there.)

I've been looking into internet frauds and scams for quite some time and have plans to expose these "corporations" for what they truly are. My last day to cancel my "vacation" is technically tomorrow, but I've already noticed that they never answer their phones. They run a message that claims my cell phone carrier is having trouble connecting. Did anyone else get this message?

They currently have $410 of my money, but I'm not worried as my bank has promised to get it back for me if I can't contact the con artists myself. But, out of curiosity, has anyone ever found a way to cancel these "vacation packages" without needing a bank or a lawyer to get involved? Surely any "legitimate" business would have real customer service, no?

Any insight that anyone could provide to me about this "company" and its illegal business tactics would be much appreciated.

i was almost conned

I just happened to be on the internet while I was on the phone with their Very friendly salesperson. I thought I'd run the website thru Jeeves and Google quickly to see what I came up with. Thank goodness these posts were up, or I could have lost a lot of money. I hung up immediately! Watch out, these people get more and more tricky every day.

As a former employee of this organization I urge everyone to HANG UP!!!! This is not legit! Neither is "The Children Right's Foundation" Their "national headquarters" is in a strip mall, just down the street from the vacation call center. They are not legit, I did my research.

Put it this way, (and I apologize for the caps, but I need to get my point across), IF YOU RECEIVE A MESSAGE TELLING YOU THAT YOU WON SOMETHING (ANYTHING) FOR FREE....... [glow=red]HANG UP!!!! IT'S A SCAM

If you do not initiate the contact, then it really is too good to be true. Oh, and they route their calls through Canada to avoind US and UK privacy and harrassment laws.

Joe, I used to work for the company. Let me know how I can get a hold of you. I can tell you EVERYTHING about this company and others like it. I can expose them for what they really are. I've done my research as well, and I quit because I didn't want to feel like a dirtbag who is ripping people off. I'll help you expose these businesses
