Hi! When we were in the Bahamas, the hotels had manager's cocktail parties with an appetizer buffet & rum drinks, live entertainment, dancing --- it varied by hotel. Non-guests welcomed (a chance to make a future guest). Do you know of any on GC?
Any other ideas for just hanging out w/ lowkey live music at beach bars, etc? We don't want to go to clubs. On a previous visit, TI had a steel pan band in the lobby (we were just walking around & visited the property). Does anyone know when they play?
Other islands have greeted us w/ music in the airport. There was none when we arrived in GC in 99, even tho the tourism website says so. Was our timing just unlucky?
Any tips for hearing reggae, calypso, soca, etc very much appreciated. In 99 everywhere we ate we were greeted by oldies & rock. Honestly, I'd prefer canned island music to live anything else.
I've seen mention elsewhere of Lammie. What's his sound & where can we find him? We were told you have to buy an $$$$ dinner to hear Barefoot now. Is that true?
Lots of questions, any questions or ideas really appreciated!
Soph
