I am hoping to get from the Luperon Airport to Luperon Beach Resort without it costing between 70 and 90 US Dollars, which is what the resort told me it would cost to go by taxi. Can anyone tell me if it is safe and relatively easy to use a bus to go those 20 miles?

All resorts offer complimentary shuttle buses from the airport. Ask them about that.
