Has anyone purchase a timeshare agreement between Lock Resorts/Westlake at Whispering Winds and Caribbean Timeshare Development (CTD)?

Since Lock Resorts is no longer affiliated with CTD were you refunded for your deposits?

Yes, we have purchased. A refund was not offered. The only thing received was a very vague letter stating they were not affiliated anymore and CTD "has taken full benefit, management and responsibility for packages purchased and for finding alternative accommodations", whatever the hell that means! All of the telephone numbers given, (including the one on the vague letter), are no longer working. Please post ANY info that you have regarding these crooks PLEASE!

This is the reason that ALL tourist should be very wary travelling to these places...These people give Caribbeans a bad name and blight those beautiful travel destinations. I am going to contact everyone I know to warn them about these people.

I also purchased from Lock Resorts in March. No numbers working and no refund received. I even contacted the Bahamas police. They said they would investigate but I never heard a thing back from them. I also spoke with the sales rep that took us to the resort. He claims that he cannot contact them either to get his money. Please let me know if you find any information on these people. I have my lawyer working on it now.

I purhased timeshare at westlake resorts with CTD nad was not awear of a problem until last month when the bank notified me of a transaction regarding a cheque I had given CTD.

I have been unable to locate an office, phone nbr or email address.

I am still awaiting word from Westlake regarding the status of the package purchased.

Two of the staff members that were there at the time of purchase have been helpful in giving me what LITTLE info they can.

I will update as I get any info and would appreciate likewise.

contact given is 877-402-4649.I have not tried it recently, some weeks ago, I got "not in service".

I called the number. A gentle answered...said I had the wrong number and he didn't speak English very well.

I found someone who is familar with the timeshare development in the Bahamas. He is checking his resources to see what information he can find out on Lock Resorts/CTD or Westlake at Whispering Winds. Will keep you posted.

I am sorry to see that others have suffered the same indignity. We paid for our timeshare with a credit card. We quickly determined that this was a scam but have been fighting our credit card company to get the charge removed. Has anyone gotten anything from any law enforcement agency confirming the scam? I will post if we have any success.

Sorry nosuch luck. My husband and I have had no luck with the credit card company. We have made an appointment for next week with law enforcement here in the Bahamas regarding CTD, I will be sure to update.
