Does anyone know which area is best to snorkel in?

Is it better to pre-register or get off the ship and take an excursion once you get off shore? Is there a cheaper way to do things?

Are there any other sites or activities you have done that just shouldn't be missed?

The whole of the Yucatan is good for snorkelling and diving, but it's better in Belize.
