Aruba and Natalee Holloway

Postby southerncharmer85 on Sun Dec 11, 2005 12:54 pm

My heart and prayers go out to Natalee, her mother and her entire family. Even if she did make some mistakes that night, she shouldnt have to pay for her freedom or worse her life. If we let that happen and continue to let people travel to Aruba, this will go on forever. I believe heart and soul that Natalee is still alive somewhere and just can't escape just yet. I would love to help Ms. Twitty in the search of finding her daughter....I just hope that the Aruban government realizes that this is not how you treat people that are hurting due to not knowing where there child is. Noone should condemn Ms. Twitty for her behavior. Being 20 years old myself, I truly believe my mother would move heaven and earth to find me should anything like this ever happen. She needs to be found and brought home from wherever she is on that horrible island I teach younger kids and I know I would move everything on earth to find one of those children should they go missing and I will do the same for anybody else. The possiblity of her being pushed into the sex trade scene is horrific and no way for any American to live no matter what so called mistakes they made. I will continue to pray and hope for the safe return of my fellow southern, Natalee Holloway. There are people throughout this country that support the search your family is doing. Liberals are not at fault for any of the media. We just value family and life more than some others in America do. God Bless Natalee and her family!

american tourist wrote:Rick from Canada...I agree with your previous post. I'm afraid to travel anywhere outside of the US (where the FBI DOES have jurisdiction - cruises included) Aruba the Island may not be responsible for the disappearance of Natalee, but I worry that if something were to happen to me or one of my family members...NOTHING would be done to locate us. This holds true for anywhere. I agree that Americans should boycott the island. This major cover up, coo, conspiracy, etc. can happen anywhere and you need to beware! I can't believe they would risk millions of tourist dollars for one moran judge that won't even be on that island in a couple of years anyway.

Now, let's think about this people. Why do you support the boycott of Aruba? How ridiculous is that, really? True Story - my mother was shot to death in her car, parked in her driveway, here in Phoenix, AZ. No suspects, nothing in over a year. No answers at all. An innocent victim. And yet, you don't hear me asking for a boycott of Phoenix. My family feels the investigators do have more information than they are telling us, and yet we still do not call for a boycott. How come?

The only reason Natalee is getting so much media attention is because she is a young, cute, blond American girl. If this EXACT SAME situation happened to a middle-aged, slightly overweight housewife, do you really think we'd be hearing so much about this?

I just spent last week in Aruba, AGAINST all of you calling for a boycott. The island is happy, very little mention of this case with the locals. The few who did talk about it were truely sorry and felt for the family, but they, too, cannot understand why a boycott should be called for. It was not the entire island that is responsible, just a few individuals, whoemever they are. There are missing person and murder storys all over the Caribbean Islands, but they just do not get as much press attention as Natalee's story. And yet, you're not calling for a boycott of those other islands!

And, by the way, Alabama has requested the boycott, but THE US GOVERNMENT DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS BOYCOTT!!! Doesn't that tell all you dumb-dumbs something!!!

I blame the problem on liberal trust that everyone is benevolent and benign regardless of race or color. Liberals in public schools should never be allowed to take children out of the country. Everyone hates America, and they cannot believe it.
I am familiar with the ABC islands, I was a target of abduction with my girl friend, to avoid a fight with her, I said she could go with these guys on a tour without me, guess what, they wanted us both. To kill me and rape her, kill her and dispose of us like Natallie). In the ABC islands you yahe a natural removal current that takes any refuse away from the islands, providing you deposit it on the north peak. To let a body go, you put a weight that alows bouyancy so it won't drag on the bottom. after two weeks or less, the body decomposes and falls to pieces, then the fish and crabs eat the rest. Here is what happened in my oppinion: I bekieve she went wit friends to Orangjestadt and met the three boys, she got drunk and Van sloot toook her home by car, but not straight. The other two boys tagged along because she was drunk. The white boy had sex with her and the two colored boys took the oppotunity to have a white girl, she protested and they strangled her and went home. The white boy was stuck with a strangled american in his car and went home to his dad. There are two paths that bodies get disposed off, first is the dead goat and second id the dead fish. Know where they dispose of these two, and search there. Looking on the side of the island with the natural bridge, is a waste of time, anything dropped on that side of the island will wash ashore.
Whoever suggested looking there should also be a criminal suspect or a fool.

After the boy came home with the dead girl and told his dad, he was told to clean the car.
His dad bagged the corpse and took it by himself to north point.
In the moment of excitement, and confusion, his dad had sex with the corpse before weighing it down and floating it off the north point of Aruba (in my opinion, because that's the kind of cold response I would expect from him after viewing his actions on TV). After a week the body dropped into the waters off of the shore of Panama or Costa Rica.
This is my theory, based on my experience of ABC island people and the geology of Aruba.
Crime happens when opportunity is available. That is why terrorist choose, dark, unarmed, liberal locations to launch their criminal activities.

You are afraid to travel outside of the US where the FBI doesn't have any jurisdiction? You've gotta be kidding me.

The US is by far the most dangerous and violent country in the world accept a small handful of war-torn countries in Africa. In NYC, the biggest trourist destination in America, there are between 700-1000 homicides *every* year. A sizable chunk of these homicides go unsolved.

You can argue that not going to Aruba will keep the pressure on the local officials. But, to say that you are afraid to leave America because of a fear of crime is just plain ludicrous.

I have been to Aruba and will go again. It is a beautiful island with very friendly people. I believe we have TV shows in the United States on MISSING people, we have their pictures on milk cartons. These things happen here everyday, but no mention of having us boycotted, or blaming the USA government. I am really sorry whatever happened to Natalie, and pray for her return. I do believe she is still alive. There is White Slavery all over the world and even in the USA. Instead of punishing the Aruban people, maybe we should be looking at where and how these underground slavery rings work throughout the Caribbean. My only question is: Where were the chaperones? Why did they bother going along if they weren't chaperoning? The people of Aruba have done nothing to Natalie. Boycotting Aruba which is such a beautiful island, is only going to hurt the people of Aruba who raise their families on selling jewelry and handmade items to tourist that visit there. It will also hurt those of you boycotting Aruba to miss out on such a paradise.

While everyone is criticizing everything about Aruba and so on.We all seem to forget that our oil and a lot of other things come from different countries.Natalie was the one who left with other guys and i thus believe that the people of Aruba should not be blamed.I have been to aruba many times -its a beausitful place with really nice people.Things work differenlty evrywhere including jusrisdiction, investigation...etc.We can be paorchial and say that we have the best resources (FBI ,etc) but remember its not out country so whats the use of merely criticizing a nation for this.I do wish that Natalie is well if she is still alive but i resent criticizing a nation for this.I will ceratainly go there again with all my firends-- but of course not venture out with strangers!!

[B] I think it is horse poo that the Aruban Government is not cooperating with the Holloway's. My goodness, how would the parents feel if the BOY SUSPECT in this case suddenly "went missing". Perhaps thats what needs to happen. Then maybe the little parasite will talk. I think everyone is trying to protect him and regardless if she went with another teenager she didn't know, she should have came back safe. She was with another KID!!! As for saying her friends should have stopped her .... my my, how insensative can you be? Can you imagine the guilt they alreasd consume everyday? That guilt is not going to go away, ever! Im sure they dont need to open this blog one day just to have salt poured in the wound. This was NOT NATALIES FAULT (SHE IS A VICTIM) so what if she went with a teenaged boy, thats what teenaged girls do!!!! Instead of focusing on the faults of the VICTIMS, we should be printing up flyers to boycott Aruba and posting them all over your home towns. It is NOT the fault of the people of Aruba, but, there IS a crazy person out there that made Natalee disapear ... the Aruban police dont seem to care ... IS YOUR LOVED ONE GOING TO BE NEXT????? DOWN WITH ARUBA!!!!!! UNTIL JUSTICE IS SERVED.... and maybe even longer, just because they are a#@$@$%@%@

In support of Natalee and her family, I will not be going to Aruba AND I must tell you, Aruba was a lifetime dream of mine, to go there and return each year.

If I were the Gov. and calling the shots on that Island, I would have allowed the US, FBI, etc., to run the investigation without delay. We have the advanced technology, resources and skills to conduct such an investigation and I believe it would have been solved by now.

For this, I will not be going to Aruba. Also, if they are covering up for the suspect, more reason for me not to go. A Judge? I don’t give a hoot who they are, I want to know about Natalee, don’t you?

There are NO excuses. Rich or poor, it doesn’t matter to me, a life is a life. And to those ctiticizing about all the publicity and media exposure for Natalee?

It’s her MOM who is doing all the exhausting, work in a desperate search for her daughter.

Natalee cannot be replaced. My heart BLEEDS for her and her family. Please, every single one of us make a difference regardless of our opinions. It is Natalee and her family that we must support as they are the victims here. The people of Aruba, the Gov., etc., They can all wake up to another day…

Natalee cannot.

ABOUT THE ARUBAN GOVT. ALLOWING OUR FBI AND OTHER INVESTIGATORS TO GO THERE AND HANDLE THIS MISSING GIRLS DISAPPEARANCE.
HOW CAN YOU SAY IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED?
HOW MANY PEOPLE GO MISSING IN THE U.S. EVERY YEAR? HOW MANY CHILDREN?
HOW MANY OF THOSE ARE NEVER FOUND? THE FBI IS IN THIS COUNTRY. IT SEEMS TO MAKE LITTLE DIFFERENCE WHEN THERE IS NO EVIDENCE, WHO IS RUNNING THE INVESTIGATION.
ONE OF THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS THE U.S. HAS NOW IS STAYING OUT OF THINGS THAT CONCERN OTHER COUNTRIES.
I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THE U.S. WOULD ALLOW ANOTHER COUNTRY TO SEND THEIR INVESTIGATORS HERE TO TRY TO SOLVE CRIMES OF THEIR VICTIMIZED CITIZENS.
THERE WERE OVER 2.000 PEOPLE KILLED ON 9/11 AND SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE WERE FOREIGNERS HERE. WE SCOOPED UP THE CRIME SCENES OF THOSE HOMICIDES WITHOUT CONDUCTING AS MUCH FORENSICS INVESTIGATION AS A SINGLE MURDER IN ANY CITY WOULD HAVE RECEIVED. MAYBE WE SHOULD HAVE ALLOWED INVESTIGATORS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES TO COME HERE. DO YOU THINK THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN PERMITTED?

IF MS HOLLOWAY HAD GONE MISSING IN THE U.S. HER DISAPPEARANCE WOULD HAVE BEEN A NEWS STORY FOR A FEW DAYS AND SHE WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN FORGOTTEN BY MOST PEOPLE HERE. SO WHY BLAME A WHOLE COUNTRY BECAUSE AN AMERICAN IN THEIR COUNTRY IS NOW A MISSING PERSON? THE GIRL MADE A BAD CHOICE. WHO DO YOU BLAME?
I FEEL BAD FOR HER FAMILY BUT WE NEED TO START TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR OWN ACTIONS INSTEAD OF BLAMING EVERY ONE ELSE.

It amazes me that the Holloway's have not taken legal
action against the Chaprones. Gross indeference and for not doing what they are supposed to do, which is to protect these young people.

These Chaprones should be horse wipped. They did not know that
Natallie was missing, and did not organize a search

Funny how Arubians say the Island is so safe and things like that usually never happen. The Island is not safe. We traveled there a few years ago and we were robbed up by the lighthouse. We went to the police and they just kind of laughed alittle and said it happens all the time. We also say another couple in there the same time and they were also robbed by the beach, all of there things and clothes. If you notice the cops have alot of jewelry on and have alot of other things. Have a feeling they might even be a little part of it all. Safe no way, pretty much ran to my plane. Even the taxi services gave us a hassel about wanting more money at the airport. My husband told him off and we ran to the plane and I will never go back. Just remember Aruba is not a safe place no matter what they say.

A lot of the posts on here are ridiculous! As tragic as Natalee Holloway's disappearance is, anyone with any sense knows that if you leave a bar in the middle of the night here in the USA with people you barely know, the outcome can be deadly. I am not blaming her. I'm just stating truth: what happened to her there could just as easily have happened here if the circumstances were the same. And there is no guarantee that the crime would have been solved if she had disappeared here, either. Two people went missing in Birmingham, AL, near Natalee's hometown, shortly before she disappeared in Aruba. No arrest has been made in either case. The body of one of the people, the assistant principal of a middle school, was found in some woods by a hiker almost a year after he disappeared; no sign of the other missing person, a woman, has been found. Don't you think THEIR families need closure, too, yet no one is talking about boycotting Birmingham!

As for the people saying that the FBI could have solved this - well, they haven't done such a great job finding out what happened to George Smith on that cruise ship, have they? And they had a LOT more to go on than the Arubans have, including a deputy police chief in the next stateroom who can ID three men he saw leaving Smith's room late that night, yet not a single arrest has been made in THAT case, either.

We Americans are such hypocrites! JonBenet Ramsey has been dead 9 years, and no one has been arrested. The FBI has not caught whoever mailed the anthrax letters almost five years ago despite having a wealth of evidence - the envelopes, handwriting, etc. It took almost 8 years to catch Eric Rudolph, even though they knew within a mile or two where he was hiding. New York City alone has over 8,000 unsolved murders. Where do WE get off criticizing ANYBODY for an unsolved crime?

I am so disgusted with you people in this country saying it is not the people at fault. You know these seedy filthy sex slave places are in your country and what are you doing about it. Reminds me of the people in the villages in Germany that smelt the smoke from the camps and new what was going on but just sat back and ignored it. If enough people got together and protested the government might have to get there sh*t together and sort out these disgusting places. Most of the government officials are probably useing these places anyway. So do not say it is not your country . You are just as responsible to let it go on. Stand up with others and get rid of this disgusting trade. Give these kids back to there parents. It could be your kid next.

Aruba is governed by local administration which looks out for their economy. Still, they are under the flag and government of Holland.

Holland is where Amsterdam is .....

If you know anything of Amsterdam, you understand Holland. They ignore or allow drugs .....

Anyone who allows young people, especially girls to travel there, are either unaware of the drug and alcohol use or are being irresponsible parents!

Refuse to go to Aruba! Refuse to allow young people to go there! Eventually, once the economy is destroyed, they'll turn up Natalee's body.

I have read all of the posts from the people who are against going to Aruba and have been calling for a boycott for almost 2 years and find it ridiculous that most spout off about something they really know nothing about except what the news media has portrayed.
I am a former law enforcement officer and of course I have my theories about what happened to Miss Holloway. I also have theories on how the investigation got screwed up. My thought is that since they generally don't have crimes of this magnitude they are ill equipped to investigate them and should have asked for assistance right away. I live in the Cincinnati area and homicide unfortunately is a pretty common occurance in the city.
The detectives are much more adept at investigating this sort of crime.
I was on Aruba for my honeymoon when Natalee and her classmates were there and when she went missing. She got into a car with boys she didn't know. My question has always been, why didn't her friends try to stop her.
Yes, she was 18, legally an adult but she was still a naiive teenager. No it doesn't justify what has possibly happened to her but a whole island of people cannot be held responsible and made to suffer the economic repercussions.

THIS IS FOR DAVE, MEDLEY, LOVEARUBA AND ANY OTHER MORON JUST LIKE THEM:

Don't you people get it?? She didn't f**king leave on her own free will!!! She was drugged, you friggin assholes! So, with all the facts beforehand and a current video of this scumbag saying what he did to this girl, I guess some of you still don't think he did it and that their government helped cover sh*t up, right?? Well, he did it, his friends helped, so did their government, and guess what, that punk "isn't losing any sleep over it!" Well, I guess not! Not when he has daddy to hold his hand and help him out. What a piece of sh*t this family is...You would think with his father's "line of work," that this kid wouldn't be this scummy, but apparently Pop was too busy to teach his little brat to have a heart and not to hurt people! Ha! Maybe he was just following in Pop's footsteps....

I don't necessarily hold the country responsible, however, Mrs. Holloway was given a great amount of grief over this from their people. Therefore, their shitty-little-spit of a country could go under water forever right now and I "wouldn't lose any sleep" over that!

Go ahead and go to Aruba -- hopefully you will also come up missing, then we can not only be rid of an ignorant American (if you even are American), but also prove to you that, should you come up missing, their government won't do sh*t to recover your sorry a$$. If this were my child, Bin Laden wouldn't have nothing on my terrorist attacks! What a bunch of douchebags you are...

AND TO LEMANS: Although your English and grammar suck to no end, I'm still sure this is in order - GO f**k YOURSELF!!!
