Hello,

I am going to the reef club in 2 weeks; does it have a swim-up bar? Can I upgrade to a villa, Do all rooms have a balcony, is there an additional charge for oceanview rooms? What are your over-all comments?

Gail, Yes they have 2 swim up bars. One of which is adult only! We have been to Cancun once (would not go back) and Cozumel twice, once to the Allegro and last year -the Reef Club.

We have reservations to go back to the Reef in January 2003. The snorkeling is great, as is the beach, with the exception of the rocky shoreline the first 20 feet going into the water.(Wear water shoes if you plan to snorkel).

The food was better than the other places we have stayed. There is an outside bar/restaurant that stays open until 2am.- serving fries, build your own burgers etc. Not 100% like home, but not bad compared to other food I have tried in Mexico. The service was excellent.

We stayed in a hotel room and the accomodations were great. The new villas were open and we toured them, they are VERY nice. This is what we have reserved for our next stay. Be warned - the timeshare sellers are there,as they are at other hotels, but I wouldn't let it keep you from trying the place.
