Las Terrenas / Samana

Hi everybody,
We just came back from a fantastic village, Las Terrenas.
Incredible wild beaches, a real village with a typical dominican life.
We were at Eva Luna hotel, French owner, friendly and cosy place, excelent food.
A lot of differents excursions : Limon waterfall, Haitises parc, four wheel and whales from January to March.
Sport too : kite-surf, surf, VTT, tennis, horses, scuba diving ....
Well, if you don't know where to go in Dominican Republic, you have to go there absolutly.

I agree with you, Las terrenas IS THE place in the DR. (it is in the Samana peninsula) Wonderful beaches, all kinds of sight seeing to do,(scuba diving, watching the whales, some waterfalls, visiting the inside of the country etc), and the dominicans are great and friendly. There are a lot of french people there and you can choose beteen dominican or french and italian food everywhere. I would recomand hotels like Playa Colibri (which we love) or Las Palmas al mar if you like appart hotel (with fully equipped kitchen where you can cook the fish you buy from the fisherman in front of the hotel). Or you can have all inclusive places if you prefer that kind of vacation - Aligio or Wyndham .
Have a nice holiday !!
