Fishing

Postby Mickey on Wed Dec 07, 2005 10:58 pm

Can anyone tell me about fishing in Punta Cana? I would like
reliable information. Who runs the better charters? Is there
shore fishing? What tackle should one bring? Can you buy bait?
ANY and ALL fishing information would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest to talk to your hotel at punta cana if they do not have a fishing boat ask them to contact a hotel or a boat charter. I know that you will love a nice restaurant called "captain Cook" that has boats that pick you up at the hotel beaches, if you make it to the restaurant they can give you information of who you need to talk to in order to arrange a charter. The hotel charter boats have all that you need (tackle, bait, etc)

So do not worry, once you arrive you will find the DR people willing to help, if for any reason they do not go to "captain cook" enjoy the seafood and ask them they will know.

Enjoy the best caribbean vacation and fishing!!!!!!!
(make time to visit colonial city with a tour and learn more about the country you will love it)
