Clublandor stay

Postby grtbpt on Fri Aug 07, 2009 11:43 am

My wife and I stayed at Clubland or in Nov 21 to 27 2008, it is a very nice place and location, and the help is great,( we saw the place being built when we stayed at the Britannia Hotel in the 70 s ) We stayed there several times in the past few years and again it was great until last year. We booked our vacation thru Endless Vacations, on the confirimation it stated that ALL taxes and fees were included. Imagine our suprise when we checked out there was a $ 50.00 charge per night for a nightly accessment fee? I questioned this charge and no one could tell me what this was for ( 3 different desk clerks ).I then showed them my confirmation they said that did not matter, we were told nothing of this charge during check in. To make matters worse some friends of ours live in the Bahamas ( natives we have known for years ) It was the ladys birthday, so we took a card with us to give to her, but she was very ill and did not want us to be exposed to her . There for I purchased a stamp in the gift shop there and put it on and gave it to the desk clerk and asked her to mail it for me and told her the reason for this as our cab was there to take us to the airport. We keep in touch with this person and her whole family thru either e-mail or phone. We checked out on the 27th of Nov . Yesterday we received an e-mail from her saying she had just gotten her birthday card on August 3rd ?????????? I do not think that is very good for a vacation business? We finally received credit on our credit card for the $ 50.00 charge per night, after a lot of energy and time spent on the phone and the internet. So needless to say we will not be going back to Clubland or at all. We have paid fees before for stays at places in the islands but not even clos e to that price and we have been traveling to the islands since the early 1970s. G Tarr,, Lewes De. 19958
