My fiance and i are planning a honeymoon. Loved the looks of Ikal Del Mar. Sounded wonderful. If anyone has been there ... Please fill us in. Would love to hear some opinions.

If you want a wonderful vacation then picking the Ikal del Mar is where you want to go . My husband and i went there for our honeymoon and when our hostess showed us the room I cried.Thats how beautiful everything was!It's a bit pricey but hey it's your honeymoon!

Any opinions on a rental car at Ikal del Mar? Is it worth it, or is it easy to get around from the resort?

I am a travel agent in South Florida and I have booked many couples to Ikal Del Mar and they all LOVED it.
It is Paradise!! Truly a hidden gem!!
It is so easy to get to, a short flight to Cancun and a 30 minute transfer to the resort!
It is perfect for a honeymoon!!!!
