Hey, some Dutch relatives are staying in Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, near Playa del Carmen. Does anyone know how the situation is right now? There hasn't been any contact since yesterday.

Postby Fiestygrl on Tue Oct 25, 2005 12:47 pm

Hi all,
I am writing this on behalf of a friend who is scheduled to go to this resort on Sunday and they haven't heard any updates on the status of the resort itself. Anyone know if they weathered Wilma okay? Any information would be greatly appreciated as they are going to a wedding that is scheduled for next Friday Nov.4th.
Thanks!

damage to Akumal

Postby casey56 on Fri Oct 28, 2005 8:30 am

Has anyone heard about how extensive the damage from Wilma was to Akumal? Most people are concerned with Cancun, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, but I haven't heard anything on how Akumal held up. Any info would be appreciated.

still looking for info on damage to Akumal

Postby casey56 on Thu Nov 17, 2005 9:51 am

I am still looking for anyone who has info on the damage down at Akumal. Club Oasis Akumal to be exact. We have been going there for about 12 years now and are going again this winter. Trying to find out how much damage they had and how the rebuild is going. Thanks.
