My fiance and I are trying to plan our honeymoon in the Mayan Riviera, I loved the way that EDR sounded but I have heard some bad reviews. Any information would be really appreciated.

We met some honeymoon couples who were on their honeymoon this past week while staying at EDR. They loved it and so did we. Highly recommend the Casita Suite though. Service is better. The themed restaurants were not so hot, but La Isla-the international restaurant was wonderful. We had a great time and plan on going back this summer.

Just got back from EDR-the best vacation I have ever had. The bad reviews I have read have been about the El Dorado Hotel not the Royale. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We were not honeymooners, but celebrated our anniversary there. We were a little leary, after readings some reviews, but let me reassure you, EDR will not disappoint you. Go oceanfront or Casita, if possible. Get dinner reservations early. Definately check out the Japanese restaurant. Very romantic. Tip discreetly early during your stay. BTW, congratulations and have a wonderful trip!

Hi, Ive just booked my honeymoon at the Royale and would anyone let me know is the Royale a diffent Hotel than the El Dorado Hotel?? Ive heard some bad reports and wonder if its the same place?
