We are going to the EL Dorado Royale for our 1st wedding anniversary Oct 19-25. We would like to hear from anyone who has been there and has any tips or anyone else who will be there at the same time.

My husband and I will be there around the same time as you. We'll be there from 10/22 - 10/27. We are going for our 10th wedding anniversary! Maybe we can get together for a drink! Most of the reviews I've read lately have been pretty good so I'm really looking forward to it. What type of room did you book? From what I've read on the message boards, upgrades at the hotel are more economical. There are many posts on caribbean-on-line.com and debbiescaribbeanresortreviews.com about the EDR. If you haven't already been there, you may want to take a look. If you know of any other sites, please let me know. See you in Mexico in about 6 weeks!

Hi Penni,
We booked a garden view room. From reading what others have written it looks like we will be able to upgrade cheaper once we get there if they have any oceanfront rooms. Thanks for the sites, I haven't tried debbie's yet. The only other site I found that was much help is the tripadvisor.com site. I have also been fairly pleased with the majority of things I have read. As long as there's a beach and a bar I'm sure we'll be happy. We'll be happy to have that drink with you when you get there!
