Trip report: Wonderful trip! I took my 11 yr old daughter and a lot of family. We all had a wonderful time -- except -- our first day there my brother and I both had money missing that was locked in the safe. Hotel security states, "only one key, no way possible!" But I'm telling you it's possible. I suggest taking your cash with you or putting it somewhere besides the safe. Other than having to cancel excursions to the mainland due to the ferry not running -- hurricane and all -- it was a nice trip. I think next time I go on a family trip I will stay in Playa and ferry/charter over to dive.

Sorry to hear about your bad experiance at this hotel. I have stayed there twice, once 3 years ago and the other time just this past Jan, and have not had any bad experiances. Most of the staff was great and the food was okay.
