We are looking to come to St. Maarten and are trying to decide between the Royal Islander Club La Plage or the Divi Little Bay Beach Resort. Could someone please tell me your likes/dislikes about each property and which one overall is the better stay?

Not sure if you've already gone or not but I would say Royal Islander is probably better. It's right in Maho which is where there is alot going on. Divi is over by Philipsburgh...about a 15 minute drive with no traffic from Maho. I've stayed at Royal Islander and the rooms are really nice.

La Plage is the absolutely best place to stay! the people there are wonderful and so many places are in walking distanve from the hotel. They have a casino right across the street and just a few steps down is the best open air resturant with live entertainment every pm. The name is Cheri's, the food is delicious, the entertainment is truly an event within its self and that whole area around La Plage will leave you with one of the best experiences in your life. Either way you choose have a GREAT time, but I can assure you that you won't be bored at La Plage

divi little bay is very nice and it is close to philipsburg area were all the shopping and casino happen but not much party,

and beach club in simpson bay is were also all the party and casino happy and cool restaurant with live band on most night but little bay hotel is more private.
