My daughter and her fiance' are going to be on their honeymoon Dec. 3, 2005 at the ElDorado Royale Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Does anyone know the amount of damage done to the resort from the hurricane?
If so, please advise.

My fiance and I will also be on our honeymoon December 4-11. My travel agent told me that the resort would be 100%, but she could not promise what the water at the beaches would be like. My son and his soon-to-be bride are scheduled to begin their honeymoon at the El Dorado Royale on November 27. The best information we have been able to find is available at: http://www.karismahotels.com/huracan.html I hope this helps you, even though it's discouraging for our son. Good luck.

Take a look at this link, its of Tulum beaches on the 2nd Nov.. they look fine to me, this page is shows other hurricane wilma aftermath photos, we are booked in the El Dorado Royale for the first two weeks in Jan, we booked some time ago but have just received a letter from first choice asking for the total amount, they asure us it will be back up and running by then. click on the tulum beaches at the bottom.
