my wife and I will be coming to Jamaica in May.Will I have to declare my camera and video equipment and pay a fee? We usually go to Cozumel so this is new to us. Thanks .

Short answer No...you will not need to declare "average" personal use camera's or video equipment. Usually you declare items not when traveling "to" a country but rather you delcare items you purchased abroad and are bring back to your home country.

That being said if you were taking cameras to Jamaica to sell then yes you should declare those items and pay whatever tax is required.

When going into Jamacia, if the camera is yours, there is no fee attached to taking it. If it is a gift to someone you will have to declare it and pay customs. :)
Have a great time, I just got back from Kingston and I am planning to move to Jamacia for 4 years.
