My parents just returned from the coco cabaña resort yesterday, May 22. WARNING- Do not leave your valuables any where in the room!!! They had gone down to the beach for the day and returned to find a maid in their room at 5:00 in the evening, “changing the pillow.” After the maid left, they went to get their key to the in room “safe” which they put in a pair of rolled up socks which was in a drawer along with ten other pairs….the key was missing! They called security and had them drill open the safe. Once the safe was opened, their 300.00 was gone. To top it off, they had to pay 50.00 for the lost key!!!! They of course came home without the stolen money. Otherwise, they enjoyed the hotel.
