Well, I'd have to admit I was a bit scared when booking this vacation because 10 days for 2 of us cost only $2600 and that included airfare...I wasn't sure what to expect. I must say I was certainly impressed. I've been to several caribbean vacations but this one had to have been one of the most relaxing and beautiful. We got to the room and it was a bit moldy smelling, which wasn't that bad just mildy noticable. Our room was wonderful C116 it was nice to be on the first floor and a great view of the beach through the beautiful palm trees...I'm from New Jersey...Palm trees are a treat. The food was great, DON'T EAT THE HAMBURGER...jokingly we called them man-burgers...they were horrible. The fruit was amazing and don't worry, they supply you with enough bottled water for a small army. We were there for 10 days and they the food they put out was some of the same everyday, especially breakfast...still great though. We never went to any of the shows because we heard the entertainment was horrible.

I have to admit there was one night that we were uber-impressed, that was Mexican night. They set up the tables and buffet under the stars and with dinner was a meriachi (sorry if it is spelled wrong) band...very romantic. Drinks were of no problem, the waiters paid close attention to your table and had uno mas drink in front of you very fast. The entertainment that night seemed to be out-sourced...mayan dancers and interactive shows were certainly great...my boyfriend was in the show and they ended up getting him very drunk on Tequilla, THANKS GUYS. But it was great.

The beach was wonderful...one of the nicest beaches I've ever been to. Kinda stunk that they didn't have people taking drink orders, but it was fine walking to the bar on the beach. The hammock near the bar was my favorite place...spent tons of time there. I'd have to admit it did get very humid in the room a few nights, making it hard to sleep...but that was fine, we slept on the beach.

Overall I give the resort an 8 out of 10. The pool could have had a swim up bar and was just as warm as a hot tub...not very refreshing. Can't wait to go back though...
