hey everyone,

New member here, i hope to get some information from previous guests of cancun. We are thinking of going on a lads holiday next year for 2 weeks between start of July to middle of August.

How is the nightlife at this time, is it mad busy and banging atmosphere or is it more for couples at this time?

We want to be going between these dates but we want it be mad busy. Any feedback would be great!

Hi Paul,

First July/August is the low/slow season for the Caribbean in general. So compared to other times of the year it will be slower.

Winter is this busy season November-March. During this time frame Cancun will be at it's busiest.

If you are looking for "the best party atmosphere" you should reconsider your time frame.

That being said Cancun is a nightlife driven destination and plenty of young people visit throughout the year.

I am sure you can find a hotel that caters to a younger/singles type crowd, though I don't know of any off the top of my head. Usually I head south of Cancun and head to Playa del Carmen...

I went to Cancun with my girlfriend a couple of years back in August and although we weren't really there for a 'mad, bangin' time we could find it easy enough when we wanted.

There are some great themed clubs and quite a crazy atmosphere.

We stayed in the Tucan Hotel which was a surprisingly good hotel for a four star.

You're not more than five minutes on one of the local buses (they're regular unlike over here) to where it's all happening.

hey paul, me and 12 lads are goin on 23rd july for 2 weeks. so we are hoping for same as u! i reckon it will still be busy, i herd its busy all year round! where u staying?

Me and my girlfriend went to Miami last year and it was so much fun. I never been to cancun but I hope it is as fun. We are going to be there on the 18th. Any ideas for hot and wild clubs that will still be packed.
