Does anyone know the cost of the cab from Cancun airport to playa del Carmen. How often does the ferry run to Cozumel and the cost? Thanks

cab fee is around $20-$25 to Playa (ask before you take the cab) if you are in the airport you can buy a voucher before exiting. There are also "collectivos" or vans that carry more than one person, therefore, less expensive. The ferry runs very often:

I believe the rate they say they want is $60 but sometimes you can work them on that. There is also a bus that you can take, make sure to get on the direct to Playa del Carmen bus, there is one that stops at all the hotels and takes forever. The bus ride is only $8 per person. In May the ferry was $7 per person one way, it is best to buy round trip ferry ticket. Ferries run every hour and take about 30 minutes to cross depending on the weather, which is apparently sucking right now with Emily just passing by.

Cab fare from Cancun to Playa does tend to vary a little bit!! Usually you can get them to come down $10 or $20 depending on how busy it is and how many cabs are just waiting around. (The $50-$60 sounds about average.)

On average I probably pay around $40 for cab fare from Cancun.
