I intend on posting this response on the message board so that "ANONYMOUS" bloggers with biased skewed opinions are not the only individuals with voiced opinions. My family owns property at the Bimini Bay Resort. We purchased it almost three years ago and we use it on a regular basis. We love it so much, we are currently selling our two story treehouse loft; because we decided to upgraded and purchase a four bedroom house on the private island. One of the reasons why I love the resort is that it is a safe paradise. The beaches are uncrowded and breathtaking. My kids can walk out the door and play safely with dozens of children their own ages. The staff, security and maintenance people all know our names and are always willing to accommodate us in any needs we may have. If someone were to ask me if they should purchase a home at the Bimini Bay Resort I would enthusiastically say yes. I don't know a homeowner there who is not happy. I am satisfied in my investment.
As far as the environmental impact is concerned, we have gone to Bimini on a regular basis for the last 10 years and have not seen anything other than an improvement on the condition of the island; which has been neglected and polluted by its own native residents. I researched all the pros and cons before I purchased. I read all the negative opinions. I've witnessed all the positives that resulted since this development came to fruition. The island and the ocean is cleaner. The native residents have greater job opportunities. The government has taken a greater interest in this once neglected, forgotten little island now that it can generate income for the country. Improvements have been made on roads, electricity, and garbage pick-ups. In closing, I would like to say my family and friends who visit or own property on the island love it. If you or anyone one else knows of someone intrested investing in Bimini, they may email me at toomuch386@aol.com.
