Anyone know if the coastal highway from PDC to Akumal is wide enough to ride bikes on without interfering (getting run over) by the traffic? Thanks for replies!

It's wide enough and in recent years safer because of the new road (307) that goes from Cancun to the south.

That being said I don't know if I would bike on that road or not. It's full of crazy drivers and trucks that in my opinion pose a risk not worth taking...

If you do decide to take this ride wear a helmet and "bright colors" so you will be seen...something like neon pink or green. DON'T ride this road at night!

When hot transport bikes are great - much better than walking. We hope that the Vista Del Mar wheels are allowed to cross the pedestrian bridge in Akumal Pueblo to use the Internet and check out some restaurants.
