BEACH NUDITY?

Postby ragedyann on Mon Apr 07, 2003 4:46 pm

I would like to plan a trip with my husband and children to Occidental Allegro Playacar. I would like to know how much skin is going to be showing in front of my 11yr old son and 12yr old daughter? Do they go totally nude? I would also love any good tips or advise for having a GREAT family vaccation. THANKS!!!Going in June 2003

I have never seen completely nude women in Playa del Carmen. I actually don't believe "totally nude" is allowed...?

However, topless women on the beach is a commen occurance in Playa del Carmen. Though usually limited to sunbathing on the beach and not "running around" the beach naked.

I would also make a "guess" and say that bathing suits are required in there pool areas.

I don't know if the Allegro has any specific policy that prohibits this on there area of the beach or not. (Note: resorts do not own the beach where a resort is located...all beaches are public.)

Maybe you could try going to the beach on the weekend.

That's when the more conservative Mexican tourists are going to be there.

Maybe you could take your kids to an archeological site or snorkeling during the weekdays. During the weekdays, more European tourists who like to, um, "let it all hang out" will be at the beach.

Or, heck; you could just go to Florida.
