Any tips - we go in June. Worthwhile excursions, night life in town?

Rich... it was the most beautiful of all the resorts we have visited. My husband and I go every year we have stayed at the Barcelo twice and the Rui once. In two weeks we are staying at the Playa Reef. We are tring new places but the Barcelo is by far the best. Watch out for the tub it is very slick they give you a mat to put down please do. I busted my buns and almost knocked myself out.
The bartenders are great tip them a dollar every third drink and they will keep them coming. A little watered down, but what can you expect. The snorkeling off the peer is great they throw out fish food and they come from everywhere its beautiful. I sugest an under water camera. The pools are wonderful take a couple of beach towels sometimes they are hard to come by. Nothing bad to say have a great time.
