BAHIA PRINCIPE TULUM

Postby alan on Sun Dec 07, 2003 8:59 pm

we will be going to the tulum side on jan 25/04 and we were wondering if for the dress code for the alacarte wether the men can wear pants and shirt and running shoes or do you have to wear dress shoes? Also we read on one of the reviews that they serve prawns etc. in the buffet, is this correct?
It would be great if someone that has been there could give us a little information what building to stay in.We would like something sort of central and fairly close to the beach. We have purchased the package with the ocean view if that helps. Not ocean front. Apparently there is a difference. This is the first time to the Mayan Riviera for us so we are trying to get all the help we can.We were going to book the akumal side but Air Transat didn't have the club seats available so we had to book with Air Canada and stay on the Tulum side. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi Alan,
My Daughter & I traveled to the B.P.Tulum in May /02, everything was great. You can wear runners for dinnner. My husband & I are returning to B.P. Akumal on Jan 30/04, so see you there. You will love every minute of your stay, the grounds are beautiful and the meals one of the Best in Mayan Riviera. Be sure to make reservations for the Seafood Restaurant, even if you dont like seafood the view of the ocean is breathtaking. The Italian Restaurant was wonderful and yes we did swim in the pool late at night and the guards just laughed and turned away. You have picked a great resort, the rocks in the surf is the only downfall, if you like to swim or snorkel close to the waters edge as we do.

Hi,
Its my wife and I first time to Mexico.
Does anyone know are there restrictions on how many times you can eat in the A La carte restuarants at Bahia Principe Tulum.
We are planning to go for 2 weeks in September 2004.
Regards.
