Aventura Spa Rooms

Postby y. on Tue Apr 29, 2003 11:51 pm

We may be honeymooning at the Aventura Spa Palace in August. One of my big concerns is the rooms. All of the pictures I have seen appear to have old and worn furniture. Can anyone tell me if this is true? The Moon Palace's rooms look much superior. Also, how bad is the "beach?"

The rooms at the Spa Palaca are fine. They are neither old nor worn. Our entire family went in March and we had 4 rooms and all were decently appointed and comfortable. They aren't Ritz quality but neither are they Motel 6.
The only disappointment was the television situation (but who needs tv anyway?) Very few english channels and not the best quality tv's but you aren't there for the tv.
By the way, Moon Palace has nice rooms but they also have children running around. Spa Palace is, especially for honeymooners, the place to be adults without children.

I have heard the aventura is pretty new. I have also heard from a travel agent who has been to the moon palace that the beach is horrible because of all the seaweed. The hotel is wonderful, but not the beach. I am going to stay at the aventura for my honeymoon out of all of the other resorts after spending over a month of choosing and talking to travel agents because of all it has to offer for the price and comforts. Hope this helps.

We just returned from our Honeymoon at the Adventura Spa Palace. It was amazing.

The place looks virutally new and the rooms are extremely nice. They look virtually unused. The place is built very, very well with almost total soundproofing 9very imprtant when using the in-room jacuzzi).

Televison is terrible, but so unimportant. There is no real beach, but the lagoons are wonderful and there are many beautiful beaches nearby.

The food is good, but the secret is asking for what you want at the buffets (i.e. ask for grilled shrimp from the chef and get beautiful "huge" shrimp or lobster tail).

This place if for relaxing and not partying, although some fun drinking and playing goes on at the pools.

The best part of the experience is the "staff". There is a very high "staff to guest" ratio and the people are incredible. Some of the sweetest, nicest and most accomodating people I have ever met.

If you want to party, you should go to Playcar or Cancun.

For a wonerful Honeymoon or adult get a way, I believe the Adventura Spa is the best. Shop different travel agancies (Tours) as the pricing varies greatly.

We are spending our Honeymoon at the Aventura Spa Palace and was wondering if the free tours included (Passport Package)are worth taking or should I try to book something else that is not offered. We only want to spend 1-2 days touring/sightseeing.
Thanks
Andy

Just ret'd from on honeymoon and loved the place. The rooms are great, we were in bldg 3 with a partial ocean view. Food is good, drinks are great, big resort, quiet side is the spa side, louder side is the north side. If you want a beach this is not the place - great lagoon and nice pools. If you are interested in tiome shares do the tour but "Guest Services" are sales people for the time shares - not really "Guest Services." We did it to get our $100 apple tour dollars - I heard from a worker in the spa you may be able to get "Palace" dollars which can be used within the resort. Spa probably the best I have ever been too in the world. Grounds are beautiful and everything is CLEAN! Very safe feeling and the staff was very helpful. Only negative is no beach and the food could have been a a bit better - but then again it is "All Inclusive" feeding thousands - but a lot of food and great acoholic drinks.....
