Aventrua Palace

I hear that the beach is not close to the hotel, can anyone tell me about the beach, and how were the rooms and food? Any problems getting into restaurants to eat?

My husband and I just booked a vacation at Aventura Spa Palace for April 2003. I found some other reviews at this site:

Looks good.

My sister & I are coming in May & I would like the answers to the above questions too! What is a "white sand cove"? This has me really worried. Also, what is the temp in May usually? Anyone, please . . . Thank you in advance, Rita

The 'beach' is actually a salt water lagoon protected by a rock jetty. It makes for peaceful swimming and there is actual sand around the lagoons (so it isn't like a pool).
It is very nice, unless you must have crashing waves at your feet.
But, no kids at this resort more than makes up for lack of a true 'beach'.

Calm, Beautiful, Spiritual and Serenity are the first few words that come to mind. I have never enjoyed myself like this. We stayed on the "Spa Side", just laid back and let them work their wonders. I e-mailed earlier about the "white sand coves". Don't worry one bit!!! I can not say enough, any questions please e-mail me, I want to keep it foremost in my mind. The ONLY problem and it's a HUGE one ... Buff up on your Spanish! It's VERY FRUSTRATING!
Food is good at ElGreco & the Italian resturant, can't remember the name. But it's next door to MoMoNoHama. Service is special! Please excuse my spelling, but if you go all inclusive, ask for Oscar for your consigari (sp?) Rita

I'm going on my honeymoon to the Aventura Spa Palace at the end of August. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

For once and for all, there is no beach whatsoever at the Adventura/Spa, the lagoon is small, as well as the pools, as well as the rooms. People, check out the Royal Hideway and Spa, it's lush and doesn't allow children. The Adventura is a timeshare hustler's dream and a marble/stone overpriced spa, you would never even know you're in a tropical area staying here except for the Mexican architecture and a few potted palms. I was here July 13, 2003 and toured it. The food probably wouldn't make you sick, but it was not a tropical, lush resort!
