We have gone to Mexico 3 times and have always taken Cipro for preventative reasons and never had any problems. I am questioning taking an antibiotic for our trip to Xpu-Ha Palace Resort next month. We will be staying a full week and sure don't want to get sick. Has anyone had problems in this area before?

We have been to Mexico 3 times as well and are on our way back next week. We don't pack antibiotics but we do pack the following: Malox, Gravol, Tums, Imodium and Tylenol. Just in case!
You never know what will happen but most resorts have a water filter system in place. We also bought our own bottled water from the store when there just to be on the safe side.
