My fiance and I are booked at the Almond Beach Resort next to The Jaguar Reef Resort in Belize. It is listed as a luxurious getaway, but I have seen numerous negative reviews of Jaguar Reef. I am curious if anyone has visited Almond Beach, and what they thought of it. The luxury part isn't too important to me, but she's another story. Any info on the fishing would be great for me.

The reason there are different reviews is because Almond Beach is a new resort with brand new, luxury, accommodation, that shares food service and trips with Jaguar Reef Lodge. Many people do not understand the difference

I too am planning a trip to Belize and am considering staying at Jaguar Reef or Almond Beach. Just wondering if it is as good as it looks online. I'm also curious about the negative reviews of Jaguar Reef as I have only seen good things so far. Thanks!
