More Info: Villa Amanecer has 8 air conditioned bedrooms, each with a full, private bath. The bedrooms are located in 4 different buildings situated around the pool. All rooms have ocean views. All rooms say, “Hey, you’re on vacation. It’s time to mellow out.”
Villa Amanecer is set on nearly 2 acres of beachfront property. It’s located in exclusive Orchid Bay, a private, American-owned, gated development.
The grounds that surround the 4 Balinesian style buildings are lush to say the least. There are several hideaway spots that beckon you to read or just hang out for some quiet time. There is a main house with one bedroom and three habatacions containing 5 bedrooms with air conditioning.
The main house offers several indoor/outdoor living spaces. The great room itself is nearly 2,000 sq ft, and is complemented by a dining room which seats 14, a billiards room, and 2 large verandas — one that overlooks the pool and hot tub, while the other boasts a full-service bar. In addition, the main house has a large master suite upstairs, a kitchen, a laundry, and comfortable areas for the staff. For more information on the bedrooms, see our accommodations section.
The pool offers a “zero-entry beach” plus a large, heated, party hot tub. It’s here you’ll find our outdoor dining pavilion as well as our “giant chess board”. There are plenty of chairs and loungers for relaxing in the sun or enjoying a drink at night. Just ask one of the staff, and they’ll make you anything you want and bring it right to your chair.
The property sits on a cliff which borders the beach. The cliff is only 20 feet high and looks directly down onto one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. There are a couple of great spots to hang out, sip coffee, soak up an ocean breeze, and think about all your co-workers slaving away back home.
A few steps down from the cliff is the beach you’ve heard so much about. It’s here you’ll probably spend most of your time.
Go for a snorkel. Have a picnic. Play a mellow game of volleyball, or just lay back and soak up the sun. If you want the staff to bring you another drink, may we suggest the Presidente? It’s an island specialty. Once you have one of these, you’ll never drink Bud again. We promise.
When you’re done mellowing out by the pool or beach, there are some more involved activities that we’re sure you’ll be interested in.
Nearby Attractions: The Dominican Republic certainly isn’t one of those tiny Caribbean islands where you can see and do everything in a single afternoon. It is a rather big island — the size of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island combined. If you’ve ever been to Jamaica, well it’s about 5 times bigger than that. It’s safe to say that it could take years before you can experience all that this island has to offer.
Activities within one hour of the villa: - Championship golfing. - Horseback riding (mountains or beach) - Scuba diving - Snorkeling - Deep sea and surf fishing - Hiking (National Park or mountains) - Whale watching (in season) - Caving and cave diving - River boating - Windsurfing (Cabarete, only 45 minutes. away, is the windsurfing capital of the America’s) - Mountain biking - Water sliding at the waterpark - Cable car riding
Amenities: Villa Amanecer is a fully staffed and fully equipped vacation villa. That’s because our goal is to create the most hassle and worry free vacation in all of the Caribbean. In other words, we’ll be the ones sweating as you do the relaxing.
We’ve trained the staff to think of any guest as a living God (well, almost anyway.) Which means they will cook for you. Clean up after you. Do your laundry. Provide concierge service. Watch your kids. Mend torn clothes. Serve you cold drinks with little umbrellas. Prepare a picnic lunch. And they’ll even teach you the Dominican national dance, the meringue. They work full time for the villa and all are experienced villa professionals.
- Airport Transfers - A fully equipped bar - A wine cellar - Loungers for the beach - Beach toys and games - Cable TVs and VCRs - Videos for evenings, or God forbid, a rainy day - Video games for the kids or the adult who is a kid - 8 speaker multi room stereo - Over 100 CDs - Portable crib - High Chair - Booster seat - Assorted games and cards - Fax machine and PC with Internet connection

Caribbean Travel Tip Water Safety Make certain that sports equipment, including scuba equipment, that you rent or buy meets international safety standards.
If you use a beach without a lifeguard, exercise extreme caution. Drowning is one of the leading causes of death for Americans in the Caribbean.
Do not dive into unknown bodies of water because hidden rocks or shallow depths can cause serious injury or death. In some places, you may need to wear sneakers in the water for protection against sea urchins.
