For lunch, find a place where the locals go for true Caribbean flavor. Stroll down the boardwalk and stop to sip a micro-brew at a harbor-side pub. Treat yourself - and your sweetie - to fine Cruzan jewelry (Perhaps the famous Cruzan gold love-knot bracelet, so you will never forget the day!)
All set for an ocean dip? Schooner Bay is perfectly positioned to the east, near some of the most beautiful and secluded beaches on the island. A short scenic ride leads to them all, and every bend in the road is another spectacular view. Want a photo op first? Keep going until you find rugged Point Udall, and you can say you have visited the most easterly point of land belonging to the USA!
When you are ready to explore the rest of the island, head 20-30 minutes to the west of Schooner Bay. There you will find the Whim Museum, Botanical Gardens, the rain forest, kayaking, snorkeling, golfing, and the historic port town of Frederiksted, not to mention more incredible views.
Linger a little longer to watch the those spectacular sunsets - or head home to enjoy them from poolside or on your own private balcony.
Night falls, throwing a canopy of shooting stars over all the little sailing boats bobbing in the foreground. Christiansted comes alive again after a sleepy afternoon. Soon those harbor lights will beckon... and back to town you will go for more food, music, romance, and fun!
