Small, unique, beachfront hotel in St. Lucia, consisting of gingerbread laced cottages and villa suites nestled among the coconut trees, just yards from the Caribbean sea.

The Villa Beach Cottages is a small picturesque property, 4 miles from Castries the capital. Our cottages and villa suites are situated on Choc Beach just a few yards from the water's edge with a panoramic view of the northern coastline and a small offshore island. Fully self-contained, cottages and villa suites consist of one or two bedrooms with four poster beds, A/C, ceiling fans, cable TV, safe, bathroom, living and dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and a large balcony with hammocks. One unit, we jokingly call -The Noble Cottage-, is the cottage in which Derek Walcott, the 1992 Nobel Laureate for literature spent his holidays over the years. A few minutes walk away are restaurants and a shopping mall with shops, supermarket, bank, post office and a fitness and medical centre. Expansion completed Nov. 2000, we have added ten (10) new self-contained villa suites,(our new honeymoon villa suite is a two storey unit with living/dining room and kitchen on the ground floor with a wooden spiral staircase to the bedroom and bathroom on the first floor) and Coconuts, our restaurant consisting of a bar and grill with an covered open air terrace (for meals on request), mini-mart/shop, rock-swimming pool and gazebo.
Alternatively or in combination stay at La Dauphine Estate, our 200 acre plantation, 5 miles from the town of Soufriere. The 4 bedroom La Dauphine Great House and 2 bedroom Chateau Laffitte are two plantation houses nested in a lush green hillside surrounded by luxuriant gardens, fragrant with exotic flowers. Originally built in 1890 with gingerbread fretwork, jalousie windows and shutters, these houses have been refurbished to combine colonial charm with all modern conveniences and come with a housekeeper/cook. Hiking along nature trails and tropical fruit fields, exploring the nearby rainforest, hot waterfalls, volcano, marine parks or thus relaxing on a beach with the Pitons towering above are all part of the La Dauphine experience.
