Site Information:
Bahia Principe Tulum

Bahia Principe Tulum is an all inclusive resort located between Akumal and Tulum, Mexico. Designed by the prestigious Mexican architect, Fernando Quirarte, and inspired by the Puuc Mayan architectural period, the BAHIA PRINCIPE TULUM HOTEL welcomes its guests with all of Mexican's characteristic warmth. Materials such as stone, talavera pottery, marble, large palapas, hardwoods and an exquisite colour combination make the hotel a cool and harmonious place that is easy to discover and enjoy.

More Info:
The hotel offers you spacious and comfortable rooms, with top-quality finishes: marble and noble woods. They all have two single beds or one king-size double bed, air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, a balcony and fully fitted marble bathrooms with a bathtub and shower.

The 810 rooms are split into buildings that hold 18 each, arranged in a horseshoe shape, all facing the sea.

The BAHÍA PRÍNCIPE TULUM HOTEL is located in an unspoilt area of the Mexican Mayan Riviera.
This area invites you to explore, enjoy, relax and learn, with its nature reserves, theme parks, outstanding archaeological areas, deserted beaches, pools of cool, crystal-clear fresh water (cenotes), marinas, small villages and developing towns. Another well-kept secret of the Mayan Riviera is the Great Mayan Reef, which stretches from the Yucatán peninsula as far as Honduras and is the second largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere. Coral formations all along 680 kilometres make this reef, full of cenotes, an irresistible temptation for any diving enthusiast.

Nearby Attractions:
The hotel has the following facilities: a main swimming-pool in the form of a lake with a special children's area; a giant, open-air Jacuzzi; an enormous sundeck with sunbeds and sunshades; a private beach; Mini-Club; amphitheatre that hosts shows and entertainment; two tennis courts; a water-sports centre; a gym; shops stocking essential goods and gifts; a vast natural setting; and a large convention centre with top-quality facilities.

You'll also be able to enjoy five restaurants and several bars with completely different styles and atmospheres.

Caribbean Travel Tip

Residence or Investments in the Caribbean
You will need a passport and visas to reside in or to conduct or start a business in the Caribbean. Although some Caribbean countries welcome retirees or others of independent means as long-term residents, requests for work permits are rarely granted. Before you travel, apply to the country's embassy or consulate in the United States to obtain a visa if you wish to reside, go into business, or work in the country. U.S. citizens who wish to invest in the Caribbean, such as in real estate or a business, should first thoroughly investigate the company making the offer and, in addition, learn about the investment climate in the country. A good resource is the Trade Information Center of the U.S. Department of Commerce, telephone 1-800-USA-TRADE. The Center can tell you how to access the National Trade Data Bank. Among the things you can learn are how to find out if the company is registered with local authorities and how to get in touch with local trade associations. Before signing a contract for a timeshare or other real estate, you may wish to consult with a lawyer. You will need to check whether the contract contains the same safeguards as do similar contracts in the U.S., such as the retention of timeshare rights if the property is sold. You should also determine whether the builder or seller has a clear title.
