ACCOMMODATIONS
Set in cottages along tropical plant-lined footpaths, all rooms are spacious air-conditioned studio suites, each with a private balcony or terrace, free cable TV, clock radio and direct dial telephone.
Deluxe: Totally rebuilt and remodeled. King-size bed, queen-size sofabed, full kitchen facilities, tile floors, in-room safe, sitting and dining area.
Standard: Two double beds, sitting area, refrigerator.

Tucked away above the azure blue waters of Simpson's Bay Lagoon, the Summit Resort Hotel in Dutch St. Maarten is the perfect place to "get away from it all." The Summit is a small, comfortable, easygoing, very private vacation spot, where you'll be welcomed by an especially friendly and accommodating staff. A relaxed atmosphere, open spaces, balmy breezes, rustling palm trees, and warm hospitality are all part of the Summit's traditional Caribbean charm.
From the sundeck surrounding our freshwater pool, savor a panoramic view recognized as one of the best on St. Maarten. Across the broad expanse of the sparkling lagoon lies the sweep of low-lying green mountains on the French side of this dual-nation island. Poolside, enjoy a meal at the outdoor cafe, or relax with a cool drink at the bar. You can play tennis on our all-weather court, and two beautiful Caribbean beaches are just a brief stroll away - or an even shorter ride on our free beach shuttle.
Secluded off the main road, the Summit is a tranquil oasis in St. Maarten's bustling resort center. Sailing, a wide variety of water sports, golf, duty-free shopping, fine restaurants, casinos and festive nightlife are all available nearby. Then end your evening under the romantic quiet of a starry tropical sky, as the lights of the French town of Marigot twinkle across the lagoon.
