Balcony Rock is located just a short stroll away from Dover Beach where you can enjoy some of the island's finest swimming and water activities. Beach volleyball, snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving, jet skiing, water skiing, windsurfing and parasailing, to name a few, are just steps away.
Also, just steps away is Barbados' renowned St. Lawrence Gap. The Gap is the island's mecca of entertainment. Shopping, restaurants, nightclubs and casinos await you. Whether you feel like a night of dancing to Calypso, Reggae, or Rhythm & Blues, there is a night spot that will meet your wish. If you'd prefer fine dining with ambience, try Blakey's Restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining options. The Chattel House Shopping Village will delight you with unique shopping finds. These candy coloured chattel houses host a wide selection of Barbados' best shopping.
A few short blocks up the street is the fishing village of Oistins. Oistins is a seafood lover's dream. Join them on Friday nights for the infamous Oistins Fish Fry and tantalize your senses with the smells of Bajan spices.
Feel like heading into town? No problem. Just hop on one of the mini-taxis/vans and buses that stop outside the gate and you'll be there in about 15 minutes. Bridgetown is the capital of Barbados. The city is filled with Duty-Free gift shops and craft stores that line the marina as well as the main roads. Don't forget to stop in Cave Shepherd for a bottle of Barbadian Rum!
If you're a golf fan, check out the beautiful 9 hole, par 36 course at Rockley's Resort. The club has rental equipment available and offers lessons at an extra charge. It's only a 10 minute drive away.
