Casa del Secreto
Casa del Secreto is an air conditioned three bedroom/three bath luxury home located directly on the magnificent, secluded beach of Playa del Secreto. Playa del Secreto is a small residential area of only a handful of private homes. Our beach is over a mile long and is excellent for swimming, snorkeling, and shell collecting. The only beach vender that you will encounter is the occasional local fisherman who wants to sell his catch of lobster and fish of the day.

The house is surrounded in a dense grove of coconut trees with hammocks strategically placed amongst them and where you can relax and let the world pass you by. Instead of people, you are more likely to see more of the local wildlife, such as the iguana, ant eater, small fox, and even crocodiles in the nearby cenote. The giant sea turtles lay their eggs in the warm sand in front of Casa del Secreto beginning in May until October of each year. To watch and even touch these splendid creatures is an experience of a lifetime! In July, the baby turtles start to hatch and you can watch or even help them make their way to the sea.
Casa del Secreto is exquisitely decorated with fine hand painted murals on some of the cathedral ceilings, hand carved one-of-a-kind furniture pieces from Patzcuaro, Mexico, luxury linens and upholstery imported from the States, plus has a fine dinner and pewter service, Cable TV, Stereo, telephone, fax, and email. Along with the three bedrooms/three baths, Casa del Secreto has a living room, dining room, complete gourmet kitchen with a commercial stove, stocked honor bar with mini fridge, terrace, beach palapas and beach furniture, full staff with daily maid service, and bottled water. Casa del Secreto is a very large structure consisting of only two independent villas. The lower villa is our private residence. The upper villa is the complete three bedroom/three bath vacation home with a private main entrance and terrace. I will be happy to share my knowledge of the area of what to do and what to see or help in any way to ensure that your stay in the Riviera Maya is a most perfect one, when I am in residence. As a private vacation home rental there are no other guests on the property. My entire staff will take care of all your needs. If you wish the services of my cook, this can be arranged at an additional fee.
Casa del Secreto has a gorgeous new pool, with a pool bathhouse, a pool bar with built-in stereo and outdoor pool side speakers, blender, etc. The large built-in Gas BBQ grill is perfect for barbecuing pool side. Hammocks are located all thru the garden under coconut trees with beautiful views of the ocean. Casa del Secreto wonderful, magical children's playhouse that is also located under the coconut trees in the garden. This two bedroom playhouse is a thatched Robinson Cruiso type structure - complete with swinging bridge between the two rooms, swings, slide, fireman's pole, and much more.
For those who prefer to add a bit more civilization from time to time, Casa del Secreto is only 30 minutes away from Cancun. Playa del Carmen is just 15 minutes away and Puerto Morelos is just 5 minutes away. Each of these towns offers a varying degree of casual/gourmet restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and ferry service to Cozumel.
The house has an information booklet for all local activities and restaurants. Casa del Secreto has arrangements with a 54 foot Catamaran, another large boat for snorkeling tours, two local dive shops, and deep-sea fishing outfitters at discounted rates for our guests. For those who enjoy relaxing massages, we have an arrangement with a massage therapist who will come to the house for a wonderful Mayan massage under the coconut trees. Casa del Secreto also has a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer for guest use on a daily rate basis as desired for your entire stay.
For your arrival, you will find fresh flowers in all bedrooms and foyer, basket of fresh local fruit and a nice bottle of wine with my compliments. We will be happy to stock the house with your selection of groceries in advance for a small service fee.

Bringing Your Own Boat or Plane
If you plan to arrive in the Caribbean in your own boat or plane, contact the embassy, consulate, or tourist office of each country you plan to visit to learn what is required for entry and exit. Besides title of ownership, most ports of entry will require proof of insurance coverage for the country you are entering. Some countries require a temporary import permit for your boat or plane.
Authorities in the Caribbean are familiar with U.S. regulations for documentation of air and sea craft. They will detain improperly documented craft that enter their territory. In some countries, authorities will confiscate firearms found on a boat or plane unless the owner or master can show proof that U.S. licensing and export procedures have been followed. In addition, some countries impose stiff prison terms for the importation of illegal firearms.
