Tropix is quiet, casual and comfortable. We have ten rooms, including four suites which can accommodate up to five guests. Each room has a refrigerator and an air conditioner or ceiling fan.
All rooms border the pool and offer a beautiful view of our lush tropical gardens. The hotel offers an inexpensive breakfast, served poolside.
Although secluded, Tropix is within easy walking distance to Sosua's restaurants and shops, as well as a convenient starting point to those wishing to tour the countryside. We are always happy to help plan day trips, nights on the town, and week-end excursions.
A small communal kitchen is available to guests wishing to prepare their own meals and our self-service bar is always well stocked with cold drinks.

Ocean Undercurrents
If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
