On St. John time passes gently. There are no demanding clock towers. Life is simple, unspoiled, and calm as the south easterly trade winds that warm the white beaches and green hills giving this island but one season: Summer. On this island is our nation’s only National Forest in the West Indies. There are roads and trails to follow through lush forests luxuriant with exotic blooms. Estate Zootenvaal is on thirty acres surrounded by the National Park and the Caribbean Sea with over 1000 feet of waterfront.

Swim in tropic waters. Snorkel along underwater trails. Roam through coral gardens. Beach comb coves and inlets with names of an older time: Calabash Boom, Cinnamon Bay, Chocolate Hole, Privateer Point, Whistling Cay, Hawk’s Nest Point and Hurricane Hole. Quiet places where only you and your imagination share a day. Yes, and explore vine and brush-covered ruins of plantations that knew time as it was on this island two centuries ago.
