Most cottages are located a few feet from St. Croix's most beautiful white coral sand beach. The gem-clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean are unsurpassed for swimming and snorkeling. Two large patios on the beach can be used for sunning, lounging, and outdoor grilling. They're also a great gathering place to await the spectacular sunsets.
The perfect, private paradise you have been looking for is located on the quiet waters of the west end of St. Croix. Here, among the tall and breezy coconut trees, you will find a relaxed atmosphere and beauty that is equal to no other in the Caribbean. Yet, with a location just a half mile from the quaint downtown of Frederiksted, you are only minutes away from a variety of restaurants, shops and local night spots.
All cottages are situated a few feet from one of the Caribbean's most lovely white coral sand beaches. The gem-clear, turquoise sea is warm and inviting, with water temperatures between 80 and 84 degrees, year round. Coral outcrops attract a wide variety of colorful reef fish, and the calm, gentle waters are hospitable to swimmers and snorkelers of all ages.
Large community beach patios are used by our guests for sunning, lounging, outdoor grilling, and star gazing. They are also a favorite gathering place to await the spectacular sunsets and catch a glimpse of the elusive "green flash." The grounds are lush with tropical trees and flowering shrubs.
Yet, despite the tropical surroundings, many guests return year after year for the warm company of the other cottage guests and staff. This property has a magical way of attracting the friendliest of people and promoting a community neighborhood that is long unforgotten. Your hosts, the Benedict family, are the original property developers and have five generations of island experience and history to enchant you. Those who have found us explain how impossible it is to find another place like it in the Caribbean.

There are fifteen different cottages for rental and one large villa. Each cottage's floor plan is different making each cottage stay unique. Some cottages are stand-alone while others are in groups of no more than three. One cottage, Crows Nest, is on the second floor. Half the cottages are truly directly on the beach -- closer to a white-sand, snorkeling beach than any other accommodation on the island. The rest of the cottages are not far, though, situated directly behind those beachfront cottages and still considered beachfront by St. Croix standards.

Ocean Undercurrents
If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
