The Crane
Located in the beautiful Parish of St Philip 8 minutes drive from the Airport. The Crane is one of the Premium Timeshare Ownership Resorts on the island.
|
More Info: Lounge on the spectacular powder-soft, pink sand, caressed by the rays of the Caribbean sun and fanned by gentle Trade Winds, and you will understand why The Crane Resort is regarded by those that know us as one of the most beautiful places anywhere in the world.
Set on the world-famous Crane Beach, overlooking a perfect azure blue sea, is the Caribbean's first resort hotel. Built in 1887 and fully restored and expanded in the 20th century, this truly unique property combines elegance, old-world charm and incredible natural beauty with a romantic sense of seclusion, creating a feeling among guests of having retreated to a spot on earth where life is truly…simpler.
Recognized for its stunning beauty, The Crane was named "one of the Ten Best Beaches in the world" by Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
Amenities: The Crane offers two different types of accommodations: 1887 Resort Apartments and Private Residences.
1887 Resort Apartments The Crane's original historic hotel boasts charming, spacious oceanfront apartments with hardwood floors, 12' ceilings and exquisite antique furniture. Many rooms in this unique building also feature fully equipped kitchens and wrap-around balconies with spectacular ocean views.
Private Residences By marrying nineteenth century grandeur and furnishings with twenty-first century luxuries, conveniences and world-class amenities in its new development of private residence units Barbados' oldest vacation hotel has created a level of exclusive resort living to be enjoyed by its guests.
Private residences at The Crane boast the finest in furniture and finishes, including hand-crafted Barbadian mahogany furniture, objects d'art, mahogany four-poster king size beds, spa showers with multiple shower heads, private Jacuzzis, oriental carpets, cable TVs, and DVD players.
The setting, however, provides the true feel of the property: old-world coral stone walls, hardwood floors, 10' high timber tray ceilings, central air-conditioning, floor-to-ceiling marble bathrooms, and amazing ocean views of The Crane's crystal clear, turquoise waters.
One, two- and three-bedroom residences also feature the conveniences of a full fridge with in-door icemaker, smooth top stove, dishwasher and private washer and dryer. Junior suites offer a mini-kitchen and a garden view.
Residences range from spacious junior suites at 450 to 570 sq. ft.; one-bedroom, two bathroom units at 1,120 sq. ft. to 1,848 sq. ft.; two-bedroom, three bathroom units at 1,784 to 2,672 sq. ft; and spectacular 2,945 to 3,400 sq. ft. three-bedroom, four bathroom penthouses.
Each ground floor residence at The Crane carries a full-sized pool with a "disappearing edge," ranging from 14 to 28 ft in length, while all upstairs two-bedroom residences feature private plunge pools

Caribbean Travel Tip Driving in the Caribbean If you plan to rent a car, be aware that most jurisdictions of the Caribbean drive on the left. The only places where you drive on the right are Aruba, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Martinique, and the Netherlands Antilles. In other places, if you are not used to driving on the left, proceed slowly and with utmost caution. You may wish to ride as a passenger for a while before trying to drive yourself.
Driving conditions and local driving patterns are different from the U.S. Many roads are narrow or winding, signs may not be in English, and in some places, domestic animals roam freely. Defensive driving is a must.
