Lochabar Beach Lodge
Lochabar Beach Lodge, Ltd., Long Island, Bahamas. Offering three secluded open air suites including kitchens, 75 feet from pristine beaches. We offer bonefishing, snorkeling, beachcombing, relaxation and natural beauty. From $115 per night (2 persons).
|
More Info: Situated on two acres on a lagoon called ‘Lochabar', which is made up entirely of a ‘blue hole', our beachfront lodge offers a secluded, private and peaceful atmosphere. You can walk the beaches for miles and have the only footprints in the sand. We are surrounded by hills and the pleasant breeze cools Lochabar. The waters are a beautiful clear blue-green. Our suites are beautifully decorated in an airy Bahamian style. Each suite is fully contained, including kitchen or kitchenette. We also have a grill on the back deck for your lobster or fish catch of the day. You can walk through your double screen doors onto your deck just 75 feet from the beach. At this time we offer three suites. The ‘Beachcomber' suite has a queen bed and a trundle bed and can accommodate up to four people. The ‘Driftwood' suite has three twin beds and a roll-a-way and can accommodate up to four people. We also have the ‘Vista' suite, the second floors luxury suite with the most incredible view. This unit is a one bedroom apartment with a king bed, couch convertible and roll out bed and can accommodate up to five people. There are restaurants near by with excellent native food or cook in and enjoy the view. If you arrive on a Sunday we will be happy to have provisions in your refrigerator. The cost will be added to your bill. Please let us know in advance.
Nearby Attractions: We have excellent fishing, for bonefish, snapper, and grouper to name a few. We can arrange a guide for full days and half days. Boat rental is not available due to the difficult navigation around the island. Snorkeling is excellent right in our beautiful Blue Hole and scuba trips can be arranged with the local dive company. Long Island is a natural island. You can be as busy or relaxed as you wish. You can walk the beaches, snorkel, and fish, explore caves, read or swing in the hammock on the beach. There are excellent Bahamian restaurants and bars nearby. On the weekends you can find a Bahamian dance with a live band and see how the locals have a great time. Long Island offers something for everyone and we feel Long Islander's are the warmest people anywhere.
