More Info:
Come to Great Guana Cay and experience life in a small Bahamian fishing settlement. Guana Cay stretches seven miles tip to tip, with a five mile long beach which many consider the best in the Bahamas. The reef fishing is excellent, and the bonefish are plentiful in the shallow bays. Guana Cay settlement stretches along the bay at the head of the palm-fringed Kidd's Cove, named after the pirate. The island has about 100 residents, mostly descended from Loyalists who left Virginia and the Carolinas to settle in this remote place.

Dolphin Beach is the newest and finest resort on the island. The McDaniels will host your visit to this unique destination, where you will experience all the comforts and amenities you expect from a first-class resort, but with a personal touch.

Nearby Attractions:
Guana Cay is fringed with coral reefs teaming with glittering sea life for unsurpassed snorkeling. Swim in 80 degree crystal clear turquoise water.

Unspoiled powder sand beaches where you can walk for miles without seeing another soul. Go shelling.

Complimentary bikes, snorkel gear, ocean kayaks, and surfboards await the adventurous.

Shop in our boutique, Potcakes, for island fashions, golf shirts, hats, original island art and music.

Dive Guana, our dive shop located on premises, will take you scuba diving to the famous coral reefs of the Bahamas, snorkeling, or just island hopping.

Cruise the settlement streets in your golf cart as you run your errands island style.

Go bonefishing or deep sea fishing with a local guide.

Sit by the bubbling freshwater pool nestled in tropical, lush bush. Bird watch. Think. Read a book in a private spot.

Rent a boat and island hop.

Do nothing.

Enjoy the easy rhythm of Dolphin Beach. Gather in the Library Room. Read books about the history of this captivating and different place. Play a board game.

Watch the sun set over the Sea of Abaco from a table on the deck surrounding the Main Lodge.

Walk down to our private dock on Fisher's Bay and see the sailboat cruisers set anchor for the evening.

Watch the dolphins feed as the day ends.

Select a bottle of wine from our wine room. Go to bed early. Wake up with the birds.

Amenities:
The Mermaid Café, located in the Dolphin Beach Lodge, serves Bahamian / International cuisine with a funky twist! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in our air-conditioned dining room.
Let Mermaid Café Chef Debbie make an Abaco memory for you with the finest and freshest ingredients in her flavorful dishes... "Bahamian dining with a funky twist."

Chef Debbie is the best native cook in Abaco! A few of her signature dishes include Bahamian Cracked Conch, Curried Seafood Pasta, Smothered Fresh Grilled Grouper, wonderful appetizers, soups, and salads including Conch Chowder and fresh Conch Salad. Sample our extensive wine list and the refreshing rum concoction we call the Dolphin Splash!

The famous Nippers Beach Bar and Grill and 2 other casual island-style restaurants all within walking distance of Dolphin Beach.
