Club Bonito
Club Bonito is a beautiful, peaceful, small hotel located right by the sea in the fishing and farming village of Las Galeras. Las Galeras is at the eastern tip of the unspoiled Samana Peninsula in The Dominican Republic. The nearest international airport is Puerto Plata; Santo Domingo airport is slightly further.
|
More Info: The hotel has 21 large, comfortable rooms decorated with stylish simplicity. 15 have terraces with ocean views and our 3 luxury rooms also have jacuzzis and mini-bars; the other 6 overlook the hotel garden and the hills beyond. All rooms contain 2 full-size or 2 queen-size beds, or 1 king-size bed; 18 have air-conditioning and a ceiling fan and 3 have only a ceiling fan.
Las Galeras, where the hotel is situated, has three exceptionally beautiful beaches with clean, white sand and calm, safe waters protected by coral reefs - Playa Las Galeras, Casa Marina Bay and Playita. The hotel is located right on Playa Las Galeras; the other two are 10 and 20 minute walks away respectively.
We can help guests organize trips by boat, horse or on foot to other nearby beaches, such as Playa Rincón (rated as one of the world's top ten beaches by Condé Nast Traveller magazine); Playa Madama, a secluded beach with a desert island atmosphere; and Playa Frontón, which has a dramatic backdrop of towering cliffs and is said to be the best location for climbing in the Dominican Republic.
Families with children are always welcome. Our pool has a special section for children and the sea, which is protected by a barrier coral reef, is calm and safe for swimming. The beach at Casa Marina Bay, 10 minutes walk from the hotel, is particularly suitable for children as it is completely closed to traffic. Diapers, milk powder, etc. are widely available. There is a village health centre and, in the event of a more serious health problem, a hospital and private clinics in Samana town.
10 of our rooms and all the hotel's public areas are accessible for people who use wheelchairs. Ramps have been incorporated as part of the hotel's design. Please let us know if you have other special needs so that we can make any special arrangements in advance.
For guests who have more free time and wish to stay longer than two or three weeks we can offer special rates. Please ask for more information.
The hotel has hosted several teams doing fashion shoots or filming TV programs and we can help with special arrangements such as finding unique locations and obtaining interpreters and group transportation. The hotel is also an excellent location for a retreat or conference with up to 36 participants (our 21 rooms contain 36 double beds).
Nearby Attractions: Las Galeras, where the hotel is situated, has three exceptionally beautiful beaches with clean, white sand and calm, safe waters protected by coral reefs - Playa Las Galeras, Casa Marina Bay and Playita. The hotel is located right on Playa Las Galeras; the other two are 10 and 20 minute walks away respectively.

Everyone has a different idea of what makes a good holiday. We want all our guests to enjoy a holiday tailored to their needs and wishes and can help you and your traveling companions plan exactly the right mixture of activities - or inactivity - to suit you.
Guests can enjoy fishing, snorkeling, scuba-diving, sailing, wind surfing, horseback-riding, walking along the shore or in the surrounding hills and cycling. The hotel has bicycles, snorkeling and badminton equipment and a beach volleyball net which can be used free of charge. If you have a special interest, such as bird-watching, painting, or photography, we can offer advice about good locations.
Las Galeras, where the hotel is located, is a small, friendly village with little traffic and a very relaxed pace of life. In the village there are about 10 small restaurants and bars offering Dominican and international food; two discos (out of earshot of the hotel!) playing meringue, salsa and bachata; food and souvenir shops; money-changing facilities; jeep and motorbike rental; a dive and water sports centre; and an office which provides computer, Internet, fax, telephone and postal facilities.
Amenities: The hotel has a swimming pool with a special shallow section for young children, as well as a beach volleyball net. Guests can borrow snorkeling and badminton equipment and bicycles free of charge. Other facilities include a library and information centre, a TV and video room, a gift shop, a hair and beauty salon and a massage service.
Las Galeras is an ideal setting for a romantic honeymoon or holiday, and our three luxury rooms with a jacuzzi and ocean view are the perfect treat for honeymooning couples. We welcome honeymooners with fresh flowers in their room and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine. We are planning to offer a full wedding service in future.
