|
More Info: Kick off your shoes and feel at home at once! Surrender to the enchantment of the beautiful Hotel setting with many loving details, the sandy golden beach and its sportive and relaxing ambience. Walk a few steps to the charming village and its lively nightlife.
The easy-going pace invites you to enjoy your day: Have a scrumptious buffet breakfast overlooking the bay, relax in a beach chair in the shade of a palm tree, stroll along the beach, visit Cabarete´s beach bars and restaurants, numerous gift shops, and enjoy one of the many great excursions or sportive activities.
Villa Taina and its Facilities: Feel at home here at Villa Taina!
The name of our hotel derives from the original Taino inhabitants who lived peacefully on Hispaniola and other Caribbean islands, well before Columbus discovered the Island in 1492. Their intimate communion with nature, their love for life, the bountiful waters and forests, and their social structure hold a sacred fascination that still can be felt today. Some Taino artifacts and pieces are displayed in our hotel lobby to insure that the magic and awe of this culture will not fade.
Villa Taina has set a high standard of excellence in what is today a new concept in accommodation on the north coast of the Dominican Republic: unmatched ambience combined with affordable comfort and services.
The hotel offers comfortable, tastefully furnished rooms; all units are air-conditioned. A spacious balcony or terrace adds more comfort to each room. Read a book from here or simply contemplate the sky-blue waters from your ocean-front accommodation. A swimming pool, two boutiques offering beach wear and crafts, a restaurant on the beach and an ocean-side bar make up our family style beach club. . Within easy reach is a fine selection of restaurants featuring international cuisine, beach bars, gift shops, car rental agencies, and the important north-shore highway that links Cabarete to other nearby exotic attractions.
Be our guest! We’ll be honored to host you and be at your service.
The Windsurf Center offers a wide range of sports activities and the latest windsurfing equipment. In addition, there are board storage facilities and beach chairs for our guests. Our English-speaking staff will be pleased to welcome and assist you.
Villa Taina's Commitment to the Environment We are committed to create a harmonious balance between the setting of the Hotel and the beauty of the nature that surrounds us.
Through the application of the ancient principles of "*Feng Shui" we have succeeded in creating a hospitable, positive and spiritually edifying atmosphere of well-being that is ideal for our hotel guests and business associates.
(*Feng shui, or Chinese Geomancy, is the Chinese art and science of promoting health, wealth, and happiness by harnessing positive energy from the environment. The term feng shui literally means “wind and water” in Chinese.)
We use the most modern European technology to treat our sewage. This high-technology process is 100% organic based. The flush installations in the bathrooms of our new building reduce the usual water consumption by 50% to 70%. Air purifiers commence operation when needed.
Nearby Attractions: Surfing Playa Encuentro, only five minutes from Cabarete, is considered one of the best place to surf on the north coast. Scuba Diving The scuba diving (and likewise snorkeling) is a popular activity in the area because of the fabulously clear water containing abundant marine life. Caribbean Travel Tip Entry and Exit Requirements Entering: Every island in the Caribbean has its own entry requirements. Most countries allow you to visit for up to two or three months if you show proof of U.S. citizenship and a return or onward ticket. Some countries, however, require that you have a valid passport. If you are arriving from an area infected with yellow fever, many Caribbean countries require you to have a certificate of vaccination against yellow fever. Some countries have an airport departure tax of up to $25. For authoritative information on a country's entry and exit requirements and on its customs and currency regulations, contact its embassy, consulate, or tourist office in the United States.
Returning - Caution! Make certain that you can return to the United States with the proof of citizenship that you take with you. Although some Caribbean countries may allow you to enter with only a birth certificate, U.S. Immigration requires that you document both your U.S. citizenship and identity when you reenter the United States.
The best document to prove your U.S. citizenship is a valid U.S. passport. Other documents of U.S. citizenship include an expired U.S. passport, a certified copy of your birth certificate, a Certificate of Naturalization , a Certificate of Citizenship , or a Report of Birth Abroad of a U.S. Citizen.
To prove your identity, either a valid driver's license or a government identification card that includes a photo or a physical description is acceptable.
If you lose or have your U.S. passport stolen while overseas, report it immediately to the local police and the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. A lost or stolen birth certificate or driver's license cannot be replaced outside the United States. There are several countries, most notably Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, and Jamaica, where airlines have consistently refused to board American citizens with insufficient proof of U.S. citizenship. The resulting delays can be inconvenient as well as expensive.
