Marina Mike's Hotel
Welcome to Hotel Marina Mike's, a small, secluded resort located right on the Caribbean in the Mayan village of Xcalak, Quintana Roo.
|
More Info: Hotel Marina Mike's, which completed construction of a new four room hotel in September 2000, now offers a charming, very well appointed palapa, a deluxe hotel room, and three new hotel suites for rental. 24-7 air conditioning is standard. The suites, which include complete kitchen facilities, are among the most deluxe of accomodations to be found throughout the Costa Maya. Whether you're looking for a simple room for two or for deluxe accommodations large enough for family or some friends, Hotel Marina Mike's is the place to stay when you visit the village of Xcalak, Quintana Roo. No other property in Xcalak offers the wide range of lodging choices that you'll find at Hotel Marina Mike's.
Hotel Marina Mike's is located in the heart of Xcalak and connected to the town power grid. Situated directly on the Caribbean Sea in the quiet and secluded northern part of town, we're ideally situated for those travelers arriving without a rental car. A fully equipped PADI dive shop is just a short walk up the street and there are several restaurants and stores located nearby. The second longest barrier reef in the world is just a short 600 meter snorkel trip from shore.

Caribbean Travel Tip Ocean Undercurrents If you get sucked out into the ocean by an undercurrent follow these instructions:
Do not panic, save all your strength.
Act immediately. Swim parallel to the shoreline. Even if you cannot, keep trying until you can.
What you are doing is swimming out of the undertow and into the current that will more than likely push you back to shore. Remember, in saltwater you float so you can stay alive for any number of days. Unless you are on a secluded beach a boat will reach you in time to rescue you should you fail to not be able to swim out of the undertow.
