Plaza Resort Bonaire
Welcome to Plaza Resort Bonaire where you can stay in any of our 200 spacious suites, located on the ocean or lagoon.
|
More Info: Ahhh... room to breathe. Stretch out. Relax. Just like our grounds, our rooms are spacious as well. It just makes sense - after spending the day enjoying the natural beauty of our island, we don't want to cramp your style. Here, the 200 overly spacious ocean or lagoon-side suites, and spacious one- and two-bedroom villas with a complete kitchen, are perfect for individuals, couples, families or groups. Each room is air conditioned and decorated with comfortable room amenities which feature mini-fridge, coffee maker, huge bathrooms, cable TV, telephone, and a private patio or balcony.
Enhanced by more than 300,000 tropical plants and trees, Plaza Resort Bonaire leisurely sprawls over 12 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds - in fact the prettiest on the island. A private marina is lined by spacious villas and suites, and a pearl-white beach stretches from one end of the property to the other. All this gives guests the privacy and peace they've come here for. As the resort's staff caters to your every need, you are free to devote all of your energy to relaxation and enjoyment. Toucan Diving, the resort's first class, IDD/PADI/NAUI 5-star dive center and PADI Gold Palm Resort, takes care of everything that is necessary for you to explore the marvels of Bonaire's internationally-renowned Marine Park. The property also has one of the few conference facilities on the island, as well as the largest casino. At the resort's three superb restaurants, you can enjoy the finest food on the island as you decide what to do and see next.
Nearby Attractions: When you're ready to experience a whole new world, Toucan Diving at Plaza Resort Bonaire is the place to be. There are over 80 dive sites to explore here - by boat or from shore. Which is exactly why Bonaire is one of the top dive destinations in the world. Bonaire is home to more than 500 species of colorful fish, as well as over 120 types of coral, with visibility reaching 90 to 150 feet. Most importantly, the waters around the island have been designated as a national park and are managed by the Bonaire Marine park which protects them year round for your enjoyment, as well as for future generations.
Your holiday will be unforgettable if you decide to snorkel or dive and see the beautiful underwater park of Bonaire. Toucan Diving offers you everything you need to learn about scuba-diving, to relax and enjoy the beautiful corals, the many colored fish and sea-turtles. We have dive and snorkel equipment, professional and experienced instructors and a dive-repair shop. Toucan Diving organizes scuba diving and dive excursions directly in front of the Resort and to more secluded areas. If you are interested in this wonderful and fascinating world, please participate in one of the introduction dives and perhaps you will leave the island as an addicted diver with a dive-certificate you can use all over the world.
Amenities: You'll find that virtually everything is located right on the premises of Plaza Bonaire Resort. Amenities include our casino (open from 8pm until 4am daily), conference facilities, a terrific gift shop, beauty center, and an elegant boutique. There's no shortage of activities, either, as we have our own tennis courts, fitness room, car rentals, a truly breathtaking seaside pool and even a beautiful and private white sand beach. The grounds of the Plaza Resort Bonaire are a travel destination in themselves, complete with a captivating man-made lagoon, waterfall and more than 300,000 tropical trees and flowering plants. If you wish to venture farther afield, for anything from a private honeymoon dinner on a moonlit beach to an overnight sailing excursion, the resort staff and Tropical Travel (located right in the resort lobby) will provide expert arrangement and assistance.

Caribbean Travel Tip Bringing Your Own Boat or Plane If you plan to arrive in the Caribbean in your own boat or plane, contact the embassy, consulate, or tourist office of each country you plan to visit to learn what is required for entry and exit. Besides title of ownership, most ports of entry will require proof of insurance coverage for the country you are entering. Some countries require a temporary import permit for your boat or plane.
Authorities in the Caribbean are familiar with U.S. regulations for documentation of air and sea craft. They will detain improperly documented craft that enter their territory. In some countries, authorities will confiscate firearms found on a boat or plane unless the owner or master can show proof that U.S. licensing and export procedures have been followed. In addition, some countries impose stiff prison terms for the importation of illegal firearms.
